Living in the Hospital

IV

The nursery you never thought you’d have.

We went to the ER after an appointment with our pediatrician. We walked into the exam room thinking we’d be in the hospital for a few days. We left 2.5 months later.

Living in a hospital is hard. You are surrounded by sounds. IV poles alerting you with different beeps and alerts. Vital monitors pinging loudly. The rush of feet in the hallway as medical providers move from room to room. Doors are constantly opening and closing. It’s safe to say a hospital room is unlike any nursery that you can imagine. And it’s definitely not like the nursery you daydreamed about.
